The bed has a 12- inch shelf surrounding its perimeter for holding books, coffee cups and other bedside accouterments. It  is constructed from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified sustainable plywood, which is simple to recycle, the Knock-Down Bed also ships flat, reducing the need for excessive packing materials.
