(Bio)Diesel Vehicles

Diesel vehicles are meta-efficient when run with Biodiesel fuel.

Some cars are listed as "TDIs", meaning they have a Turbo-Charge
Direct Injection Engine — these cars can also be run on Biodiesel.

Diesel engines are fuel-efficient, for example VW
Jetta TDIs
get around 47 mpg. Earlier diesel cars, produced in the
1960s and 1970s were noisy and produced noxious emissions. However, new
models are much less noisy, and when run on biodiesel, produce less toxic emission that regular, gasoline-powered cars.

Diesel vehicles currently available in the U.S. are:

Cars

  • Volkswagen Golf, Jetta, Jetta Wagon, New Beetle, Passat (2004)
  • Mercedes
    E-320 Sedan (2004)

SUVs

  • Chrysler Jeep Liberty (2004)
  • Volkswagen Touareg SUV (2004) [Note: fuel
    economy not the best though]

Trucks

  • Chevy Silverado
  • GMC Sierra
  • Dodge Ram
  • Ford E-series, F-series

Here is a list of Used diesel car models.
A very detailed
list of models
is also available.

PRESS RELEASE March 04, 2005

About us
Tired of stingily petroleum-base fuels?
Ever drive your vehicle WITHOUT using fossil fuel?

ECO-DYNAMICS ENERGY
NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS!

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo approved yesterday the immediate construction of a 30 million coconut oil mill that would produce the (Enkoco 2-ST) two-stroke coconut based motor oil the country’s tricycle industry needs to comply with the strict requirements of the Clean Air Act.
******
CEBU CITY (PNA) – A Cebuano expert in agriculture is among those tapped by the Arroyo government to promote its food security and energy programs. Newly appointed secretary of National Food Security Council (NFSC) Jose “Peping” Cojuangco said Cebuano Vick Medel would be working in a factory that would extract 2T lubricating oil used in motorcycles from coconut.

What are the benefits of Eco-Dynamics Energy?

Environmental
• Significantly reduces all carbon and sulfur emission
• The conversion of harmful gaseous compounds to sulfur hexaflouride which is non-reactant and non-irritant – does not affect to the greenhouse and global warming.
Health
Toxicological information about Eco-Dynamics Energy being a mixture of Vegetable Oil, Botanical thickener and Oil Plants, the product has no adverse effects on health. In the internal combustion’s chemical reactions, Sulfur Hexaflouride would come out from the exhaust, a non- pollutant and non-reactant gaseous compound instead of Carbon Monoxide, therefore it’s an environment-friendly fuel oil.

ECONOMIC
• Vegetable Energization is a renewable source of Eco-Dynamics Energy.
• Boosting the coconut industry thus saving more dollars in the importation of petroleum- base oil.
• Create jobs to the countryside, and most of all —
• A prescription to the Clean Air Act.
HISTORY
In 1870 the treasure’s of the island, coconut tree, was an ornamental for colonialist’s lawn. In 1900 our forefathers used coconut oil as medicinal oil. In 1930 purified coconut oil bubbled in cooking pan. I1980 coconut oil is used by Vick A.L. Medel the inventor and innovator of Enkoco Eco-Dynamics Energy to power diesel engines and as catalytic to petrol-fuel oil lubricant for two stroke engines. The use of straight-run coconut oil for diesel engines is not really new in our country. In 1940, during the Second World War, coconut oil was used as fuel for engines, because of the scarcity of petroleum. However, after the war, when the supply of petroleum become abundant and inexpensive and the price of coconut oil is at a good price, the use of coconut oil was set aside and forgotten.

However, coconut’s name is a bit of a misnomer, since it is botanically classified as a drupe and not a nut. It is the largest seed known.

The English name coconut, first mentioned in English print in 1555, comes from Spanish and Potuguese word coco, which means “monkey face.” Spanish and Portuguese explorers found a resemblance to a monkey’s face in the three round indented markings or “eyes” found at the base of the coconut.

On the Nicobar islands of the Indian Ocean, whole coconuts were used as currency for the purchase of goods until the early parts of the 20th century.
Our Goal & Product Standards
Our goal is to live in agreement with nature. Research, Development and Research thus continuous product research and development on the Product’s Technical Information are subject to formulation changes without prior notice.
Security, Sustainability & Cost

• Reduces dependence on imported petroleum-base oil
• Renewable, abundance, self-sufficient raw material that grows domestically
• Independence of distillate increase
• Independence of world fuel shortages

High Quality Fuel Oil & Lubricant

Enkoco Eco-Dynamics Energy is a high quality fuel oil lubricant that equals or even exceeds all the specifications laid down for petrol-fuel oil and petrol-lubricant. Entirely suitable for use in diesel, gasoline engines and lubricates two-stroke engines without modification of the engines or its fuel systems.
Characterestics

• Engine performance are similar to distillate
• No corrosive sulfur or phosphorous deposits
• Superior lubricating properties
• High detergent properties; longer filter life & storage life, keep combustion chamber clean
• Lubricates at high and low temperatures
• Contains no sulfur, which reduces soot and clogged-up, contain Cataiytic Enkonizer
• Reduces combustion deposits in the engine
• Most suitable for the use in tropical countries

It sounds better than it is.
The problem is that we need a lot of ground and nutrients to make biodiesel. Because of this the foodprices have risen more than normally. In our western countries this is a dealable problem, in some poor countries it means hunger.
So, this won’t solve the problem.

An interesting alternative is fuel produced by algues, the experiments seem promising.
The electric cars also evolve fast, but then we would need more sustainable procedure to make electricity.
Possibly this would only be possible with a technique like nuclear fusion.

For now my best bet is to limit the usage of cars as much as possible. Whenever possible, take an excellent bike instead of a car (lowrider recumbent bike, velomobiel). This way it’s easy to cycle more than 20 kilometers to the job (plus 20 back ;) ). On free days you can even cycle more than 200 kilometers if necessary.
Another practical solution is do decrease the consumption of meat. To produce meat almost 10 times as much soya is needed as when we eat the soya itself. Unfortunately it’s itopic that everyone becomes a vegetarian but it should be possible to stimulate people to limit the consumption of meat to maximum 100 gram a day which is 25 gram more than necessary for the ordinary person.

Meat consumption is dropping fast in the U.S. but just like energy our problem is in emerging markets like China and India. How dare these people go from eating 1 meal a day to 2 meals a day. Do they realize what an inconvenience that is to us. I am joking but that is the issue. We can stop burning coal in the U.S. today and China will make our coal usage look like nothing in 5-10 years.
Great comment though!
