Turns out all [!?] flat-screen displays use it during manufacture and it's a far worse greenhouse gas than CO2. There are so many new technologies arriving that, surely, some must free of this awful chemical but till we're told otherwise.... Me, i'm hanging on for a stereoscopic standard to shake out anyway...
