Tidalforce is selling a bike that has inferior range and power to most aftermarket builds, and costs roughly twice as much.

While it certainly looks pretty, that only gives them 1/4. It's not the lack of people buying e-bikes that drove them out, it's the competition.

This bike now represents one of the biggest tragedies in electric personal transportation.

Only a short while after introducing the M-750X (higher powered version of this bike), Wavecrest recently announced they were giving up. They were having too hard a time of selling electric bikes in the US (where roads and communities are just not set up for anything smaller than a car) and decided to throw in the towel.

If you can find a Tidalforce still for sale, buy it. There may not be a product of comparable quality and capability available for purchase for decades to come.

Payload means the amount a vehicle can carry. They probably say "Gross Payload" to clarify that it means the rider plus all panniers, etc.

From the site:

"Gross Payload: 350 lbs (160 kg)".

I don't think that's the bike weight. Sure hope it's not, for their sake!

Maybe they mean 'maximum bike and passenger combined weight'?
