Beautiful bike and e-motor. I have two Montagues but I have been told that because they are aluminum that one cannot equip them with an e-motor because the drop outs for the e-motor replacement axel have so much torque that under certain conditions they can "spin out" of the aluminum drop outs - that one must have steel drop outs. So if this is true and I have found web sites warning not to put e-motors on bicycles with aluminum forks, (and aren't the rear drop out aluminum too on all aluminum bikes?) So how have you manage to protect buyers from having these high torquing electric motors "spinning out" of the rear axels the aluminum montague? Thanks. It's still a beautiful - much more useful bike then non-folding e-bikes. -Wes

This ebike is awesome.
It exceeded my expectations.
The weight that is quoted in the article must be without the battery because the bike weighs a little over 50 lbs. I bought mine through East Coast Ebikes. http://www.eastcoastebikes.com

Great post!

If the economics don't work, recycling efforts won't either.
As our little contribution to make this economics of recycling more appealing, http://LivePaths.com blogs about people and companies that make money selling recycled or reused items, provide green services or help us reduce our dependency on non renewable resources.
