The Chinese have imitated even the latest Sigg bottles, resinous lining and all. (Everything but the price, that is.)

The Sigg bottles are apparently no longer produced for carrying fuels ( I have some of the old ones that were--no lining except for anodizing.) Even their instructions sheets recommend against it. MSR still makes similar fuels bottles, though.

The MSR bottles do not have the inner lining like the Sigg bottles. They are fuel bottles meant for fuel.Ther is only one Swiss made original and that is the Sigg. All others are made in China and do not have the inner lining. That is why you will see cheap imitations. Don't be fooled!!

YYY,

See the article -- "The liner is a food grade, water-based resin that is sprayed and baked on to the bottle." It doesn't leach aluminium.

These bottles look remarkably like MSR bottles you can buy at REI.

Right down to extruded aluminum composition.

They've been used for years as fuel containers for backpacking stoves.

Never thought to drink from one though.

Much cheaper too.
33 oz for 12$
