- to foil or paint the tower with photovoltaics paint to harness solar power
- to place devices to for harnessing the power of waves/tide
- to place heat pump to &#039;cash&#039; the temperature difference between the top and the bottom of the tower line
- we could find some more (like collecting rain and producing electricity from difference between salt water of the sea and rain)

I believe, this is a very good start to get as much practical data for further research and improvements or final rejection of this technology.</description>

		<description>I curious about the impact of sea water and how much upkeep it will need.

I am also curious why they did not consider placing a wind generator on the tower. Seems like the perfect fit for sea wind towers.</description>
