3Form Introduces Innovative “Boomerang” Room Dividers

bamboo_screens.jpg3Form is introducing a new furniture system called the Boomerang Screen, which is a flexible, tool-free divider system that both encapsulates and divides space. It’s made with 3Form’s Ecoresin (40% post-industrial recaptured material). Designed by k_now, the boomerang element is a slender, curved resin piece with a “boomerang” shaped cross section.

Intriguing Designs: Get Sticks by Extremis

Designed by Hsu-Li Teo and Stefan Kaiser, the dividers come in separate modules that you arrange as you wish. The base is available in wood or recycled rubber with cork. The sticks are 6 feet (180 cm) high and are made of wood or fiberglass and are available in different colors.

Baltix Furniture: “Eco-Buzz” Partitions

Divider Baltix makes office furniture out of materials
such as sunflower hulls, wheat
strands
and recycled newspaper.
Based in Minnesota, Baltix is positioned close to the source of the agricultural
fiber they use, reducing energy used in transportation.

The partition
pictured above is built with sunflower board paneling. The hulls
were previously burned as waste.

Baltix uses urethane for bonding the materials together, a chemical that contains
no VOCs or formaldehyde.
