New Product Launch: Solar Carport

A company called Solar Integrated Technologies recently announced it will be launching a solar carport product. The carport provides shade for parked vehicles, and generates 1.22 kilowatts of solar power in the process. The carport has a modular design that accommodate parkings lots of all sizes and shapes. Solar Integrated also announced the completion of its first solar carport project – 152kW of solar power on carports covering 186 parking spots at the Millennium SportsClub in Vacaville, California.

The company also offers a solar roofing product for commercial buildings.

That’s pretty impressive. The carports at my apartment could use those! I wonder how the company uses it? Do they sell it to residents or use it to offset their resident’s energy bill?

These should be in every parking area in Arizona and California not to mention New Mexico and all sothern sunny states.

Where I live lots of houses are being demolish to be converted into huge parking lots. The sun hits the cars everyday and it gets worst in the summer where you can actually cook on y our cars roof.

This application makes parking lots even a better business!!! I want one of those!!!

we do commercial walkway covers out of anodized aluminum presently

are turning to (Clean Cities) and installing more Charging Stations for (EV) some are even
