The Sustain miniHome: A Modern Green RV

We first featured the Sustain miniHome last year. It’s a compact green dwelling that fits on the back of a truck. Now there’s a video of the home, demonstrating it’s space-saving features…

The miniHome was created by the Sustain Design Studio team, and they describe it as:

The world’s first, completely self-sufficient, ecological trailer design, the miniHome features many of the ‘mod-cons’ that consumers have come to expect, without the associated energy, resource or material use. Within a well-organized 38 sm (350 sf), there is everything you need for comfortable, year-round, sustainable living.

Hey, we have that table in the kitchen. It’s from Ikea, and is called the Norden. Here’s a link to the table.

Great post!

If the economics don’t work, recycling efforts won’t either.
As our little contribution to make this economics of recycling more appealing, http://LivePaths.com blogs about people and companies that make money selling recycled or reused items, provide green services or help us reduce our dependency on non renewable resources.

This was what the us gov feared when the first airstream and other rv type vehicles came out. That if given a choice people would choose to go “off the grid.” Nice design! Would it be possible to give it higher ceilings? or does that legally change it from a trailor to a home? I will be contacting you.
