Grinding coffee by hand has a few advantages: it’s quiet, it yields a more uniform grind, and you can take them camping.

Check out Zassenhaus grinders. They are more expensive($77), but they are very good. My friend has one that he has used for 5 years now and it still produces a very consistent grind. I’m saving up to buy one of my own. I recommend the knee grinder, because it is easier to hold while grinding.
